Dear Colleague:

We would like to invite you to join the newly formed Congressional Antitrust Caucus. This Caucus will serve as a group of Members dedicated to issues related to the restoration of open and competitive markets and educating Members and staff on this subject.

Over the last two decades, we have seen increasing industry consolidation across our economy. For example, to the detriment of the American people, economic concentration is on the rise in agriculture, telecommunications, and even eyeglasses. Lower wages, increased
inequality, and higher prices are just some of the negative effects of this reduction in competition.

With growing corporate influence and consolidation showing no sign of abating, we believe that Members must closely analyze these issues to ensure our economy is operating on a level playing field for all. The American people already intuitively understand
that there’s too much concentration in this country. In fact, two-thirds of Americans, including a majority of Republicans, have come to believe that the economy “unfairly favors powerful interests.”

To that end, we ask that you consider joining this Caucus and help promote economic policies that are free and fair. If you would like to join the Caucus or have an questions, please contact Joe Stanoch with Representative Nolan at
