Dear Colleague,

Please join us as a member of the bipartisan Congressional Solar Caucus led by Representatives Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) and Ralph Norman (R-SC).

According to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the number of jobs in the solar industry increased by 82% in the last three years.
At the end of 2016, 9,000 solar companies employed over 260,000 American workers with a median wage of $25/hr, and one out of every 50 new jobs in 2016 was a solar job.
As a result, the cost to install solar power has decreased by more than 70% since 2010, helping to spur economic development and decrease our dependence on foreign oil.

Now, more than ever, it is essential that Congress recognize the expansion in this industry and identify both opportunities and challenges for American
workers and the strength of our economy.

In the 115th Congress, the Solar Caucus will serve as a unique forum for legislators and staff to discuss high priority issues relating
to the renewable energy and solar technology production sectors. Specifically, the caucus was formed so that policymakers, business leaders, and academic experts can work together to strengthen job creation and increase investments in renewable energy and
solar technology production.

If you would like to join the Congressional Solar Caucus, or if you have any questions, please contact Brian Kaissi (
with Rep. Krishnamoorthi or Zach Barnes (
with Rep. Norman.

Thank you for your time and consideration!
