Request for Cosponsor(s)

Support American Jobs

Cosponsor H.R. 4970: the “MadeInAmerica.gov Act”

Cosponsors:  Cheri Bustos; Alcee L. Hastings; Hank Johnson

Dear Colleague:

I invite you to support American workers and to cosponsor H.R. 4970, the “MadeInAmerica.gov Act”.

This simple bill seeks to do exactly what its name implies.  It would require the Secretary of Commerce to create and maintain a MadeInAmerica.gov website where consumers can find information about products that are made in America.  That’s it.

It is time that the U.S. federal government did more for American businesses and American workers.  Consumers who wish to know which products are made in America should have a trustworthy, easy-to-use resource, and American businesses should be provided
a space in which they can easily connect consumers to products that are made in America.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have about this bill.  Your staff may contact David Bagby of my staff at david.bagby@mail.house.gov or (202) 225-2601.  For review purposes, full text of the bill is provided below my signature.

Sincerely,
