I invite you to join me in co-sponsoring H.R. 4886, the Permanent Tax Cuts for Americans Act. This legislation will make permanent the individual side tax code provisions within the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Making these provisions
permanent will have a lasting and meaningful impact on middle class Americans across our nation. Some of the provisions which would be made permanent include:
- Modified Tax Brackets and Lower Rates;
- Increased Standard Deduction;
- Improved Child Tax Credit;
- Increased Estate Tax Exemption;
- Expansion of 529 Plans;
- Newly Created Deduction for Pass-Throughs; and
- Increased Charitable Deduction Limits.
Last year, the constraints of the budget reconciliation process in the Senate forced law makers to sunset many of the provisions found within the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. This legislation simply makes the temporary provisions of H.R. 1 permanent.
Instead of waiting until the last minute to address these sunsetting provisions, Congress should act outside of the constraints of budget reconciliation to immediately make these changes permanent.
For more information or to join me as a cosponsor, please contact Jimmy Ballard (email@example.com) in my office.
