Dear Colleague:

As Members of the Lung Cancer Caucus, we wanted to make you aware about next week’s Life & Breath Lung Cancer Awareness Rally and Die-In. The event will take place on Thursday, November 2, from 11:00am to 1:00pm on the Capitol Grounds.

The event will feature a staged “die-in” of 433 people to represent the 433 Americans who die every day from lung cancer. The rally’s purpose is to raise awareness for lung cancer – the deadliest of all cancers — and to generate Congressional support for
lung cancer funding and research.

Additional attendees include Caucus Member Nolan’s daughter Katherine Bensen, a Stage IV survivor of non-small cell, non-smoking lung cancer, as well as former NFL player and lung cancer education and awareness advocate Chris Draft, who lost his wife to
the disease, and Greta Kreutz, former D.C. news personality and lung cancer survivor.

There will be space for media and cameras on the Capitol Grounds. The Rally will be held in Area 1 on the Capitol grounds (see
linked map
).

We look forward to seeing you next week at the event. Offices with further questions are encouraged to contact the organizers directly at lablifeandbreath@gmail.com.

Sincerely,

Richard M. Nolan                               Debbie Dingell                                    Jamie Raskin
