EXILED:
A Documentary and Discussion of Deported Military Veterans

ACLU, Immigrant Defense Project, and the Truman Center

In cooperation with Congressman Lou Correa and Mark Takano

Date: Monday, October 2, 2017

Time: 7:00 P.M.

Location: 2456 Rayburn House Office Building

Dear Colleague:

You should have received an invitation from the ACLU to a viewing of
Exiled, a short documentary focused on the difficulties faced by two deported veterans living in Tijuana, Mexico.

Exiled follows former Army Specialist Mauricio Hernandez, who lacks
adequate treatment for his severe post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and former Army Specialist Hector Barajas, director of the Deported Veterans Support House in Tijuana.

Following the documentary, ACLU representatives and
Exiled Director and Producer Mike Seely will join us for an important discussion on the effects of U.S. immigration policy on non-citizen veterans.

We hope you can join us for this important conversation. If you have any questions, please contact Emilio Mendez in Congressman Correa’s office at
Emilio.Mendez@mail.house.gov.

Sincerely,

Lou Correa                                                      Mark Takano
