Dear Colleague:

All House Members are notified that the Commission on Congressional Mailing Standards (Franking Commission) will only accept new Advisory Opinion requests that are submitted through the new online portal (hosted on the House network), beginning on
October 2, 2017.

After October 2, paper-copy Advisory Opinion requests to the Franking Commission will no longer be accepted.

The Online Portal is located here:

Member Offices are advised that the Franking Commission will host three training sessions for use of the online portal.
Offices not currently using the online portal should attend one of the training sessions prior to accessing the site (if you are not able to attend one of the briefings, please reach out to the Commission directly for further instruction).
The following training sessions for the online portal have been scheduled. To attend, staff may RSVP to for one of the following:

September 14th at 2:00 PM in 1309 LHOB

September 19th at 11:00 AM in 1309 LHOB

September 28th at 1:00 PM in 1309 LHOB

to download a copy of the Franking Manual, or
for instructions on how to obtain a Franking Staff Advisory Opinion.

The Franking Commission encourages all offices to submit all previous physical requests for Final Approval by October 1st to assist with the online portal rollout.
