You are cordially invited to become a member of the bipartisan Congressional Microbusiness Caucus. The purpose of the Caucus is to elevate the narrative of microbusinesses in Congress and provide a forum for microbusiness owners to have candid conversations
with their Members of Congress about regulatory barriers and other obstacles preventing entrepreneurs from starting and scaling their business in the United States. The Caucus will also explore the potential effects of defining “microbusiness” in federal
law.
A one-person business faces very different challenges than those posed to a 50-person business. The Caucus will allow Members of Congress with an interest or history in microbusiness to examine these unique challenges and their impact on one’s ability to
successfully run a microbusiness in the United States. These issues and challenges will include, but will not be limited to, tax simplification and compliance, trade policy, patent and copyright laws, access to the Internet, payments, and finance.
The Caucus seeks to empower U.S. microbusinesses in an effort to strengthen competitiveness, foster economic growth, and promote entrepreneurship in America. We will hold luncheons, briefings, and other events to facilitate discussion on relevant issues.
