Dear Colleague,
I write today to invite you to become an original cosponsor of H.R. 1627, the Small Business Assistance Act, a bill which aims to reinstate the H-2B returning worker exemption for FY 2017. Small businesses across the country are suffering from a lack of
temporary work staff, leaving many to question if they have the capacity to take on new contracts, or even carry on current operations.
H-2B workers are not immigrants; they are thoroughly vetted visitors who provide the opportunity for small businesses to thrive. This program does not compete with the U.S. workforce, it complements it.
If you have any questions or would like to cosponsor, please have your staff contact Chris Matarangas (chris.matarangas@gmaill.com) in my office. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Jack Bergman
Member of Congress
