America Rebounding: Steel in 2017 and Beyond

We invite your boss to the Congressional Steel Caucus’ annual hearing, “America Rebounding: Steel in 2017 and Beyond.”  This hearing will be held on
Wednesday, March 29, at 8:00 AM in RHOB 2020. The purpose of the hearing is to provide Members with the opportunity to ask questions and hear directly from steel industry stakeholders on the role steel is likely to play in national infrastructure
projects under discussion, as well as other policies and developments impacting the success of the domestic steel industry. Witnesses scheduled to appear include:

  • Roger Newport, CEO, AK Steel Corporation (on behalf of the American Iron and Steel Institute)
  • Tracy Porter, Executive Vice President – CMC Operations, Commercial Metals Company (on behalf of the Steel Manufacturers Association)
  • Edward Vore, CEO, ArcelorMittal Tubular Products (on behalf of the Committee on Pipe and Tube Imports)
  • Terrence Hartford, Vice President, ATI Defense (on behalf of the Specialty Steel Industry of North America)
  • Tom Conway, International Vice President, United Steelworkers
  • Scott Paul, President, Alliance for American Manufacturing
  • Bryan Clark, Senior Fellow, Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments

***To ensure that the hearing runs on time, the order of member questioning will be based on arrival time. Members that arrive first will have the opportunity to ask questions first.
