Support Pediatric Brain Tumor Research in DoD’s Peer Review Cancer Research Program

**DEADLINE: TODAY**

Dear Colleague,

We hope you will join us in sending the attached bipartisan letter to the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee to request that pediatric brain tumors be maintained as an eligible research category within the Fiscal Year (FY) 2018 Peer Review Cancer Research
Program (PRCRP).

From FY 2009 to FY 2014, pediatric brain tumor research was listed as an eligible category within the PRCRP, but it was inadvertently dropped in FY 2015.  Thanks to your support, we were able to restore pediatric brain tumors as an eligible category in FY
2016 and FY 2017. We again ask for your assistance in advocating its continued inclusion in FY 2018.

Please note that including pediatric brain tumor research within the PRCRP is
revenue neutral.
This request is not about the overall appropriations amount, but ensuring pediatric brain tumor researchers can continue to compete for grants as they have in the past.
