We would like to invite you to a House Committee on Natural Resources-Democrats forum. The forum, titled
Taking a Stand: Protecting Water and Native American Sacred and Cultural Sites at Standing Rock, will be held on
Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in room 210 of the Cannon House Office Building. The forum will examine the Federal trust responsibility to tribes, tribal sovereignty, and treaty obligations; the moral and legal obligations
to protect sacred sites and Native American cultural resources; and access to safe drinking water on Standing Rock tribal land and environmental justice.
