Tomorrow, September 15, 2016
Join the Battery Storage Energy Caucus and Dr. Ellen Williams from ARPA-E to learn about their new program on energy storage, the details of which were announced on September 13, 2016.
The Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) advances high-potential, high-impact energy technologies that are too early for private-sector investment. ARPA-E awardees are unique because they are developing entirely new ways to generate, store,
and use energy.
Dr. Ellen Williams is the Director ARPA-E, responsible for oversight of the Agency. Prior to joining ARPA-E, Williams served as the Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Energy and the Chief Scientist for BP. She is currently on a leave of absence from the
University of Maryland where she has served as a Distinguished University Professor in the Department of Physics and the Institute for Physical Science and Technology since 2000.
To learn more about ARPA-E and their energy storage work, please join the Battery Storage Energy Caucus for a briefing, September 15, from 10-11AM. For more information or to RSVP, please contact Claire Viall at (5-2305) or by email at Claire.firstname.lastname@example.org.
