Space Advocates welcomes interns and staff to attend a presentation by Moriba K. Jah, Ph.D., Director of Space Object Behavioral Sciences at the University of Arizona. Dr. Jah has led research programs in space object behavior
assessment and prediction for the Air Force Research Laboratory since 2007. As a spacecraft navigator for the NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratory from 1999 to 2006, he charted courses for the Mars Global Surveyor, Mars Odyssey, Mars Exploration Rovers and Mars
Reconnaissance Orbiter. Dr. Jah will discuss current challenges in Space Traffic Management and Space Situational Awareness and how Academia should be engaged to fill real gaps in US capabilities in these critical space needs, as well as complement current
and planned efforts for commercial entities.
