2456 Rayburn HOB
3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Please join experts TODAY, Thursday, April 7th for a staff briefing about the technical aspects of water line replacement.
The briefing is open to all House staff and will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on April 7th. It will be in Room 2456 of the Rayburn House Office Building.
The briefing will feature:
Roy Houseman, Legislative Representative, United Steel Workers
Jim Proctor, Senior Vice President & General Counsel, McWane, Inc.
Background: The nation’s water infrastructure is deteriorating. EPA’s recent needs survey indicated that an estimated $384 billion dollars is necessary over the next 20 years to address our infrastructure needs. In addition to these maintenance issues, concerns regarding lead service lines have been at the forefront of public attention. Addressing our water infrastructure needs is not only important to ensure the delivery of safe, clean drinking water and protection of public health, but is also good for jobs and the economy. This briefing will be an opportunity to learn more about water line replacement from engaged stakeholders.
