We invite you to co-sponsor H.R. 4663: the ‘Sanctioned Iranian Entities Act of 2016’.  Our bill will extend, for another three years, the reporting requirement outlined in 22 U.S.C. 8808.  This section of law requires the President to report to Congress on the use of certain Iranian seaports by foreign vessels, and the use of foreign airports by sanctioned Iranian air carriers.  It also adds a new requirement that the Administration report to Congress about “all efforts the Department of State has made to encourage other countries to prohibit the use of air space and airports by sanctioned Iranian air carriers”.  The full text of our bill is attached.
