Dear Colleague:
Although I support efforts to defund Planned Parenthood, those efforts do not get to the root of the problem – abortion clinics can still profit by selling fetal tissue. Planned Parenthood and other abortion clinics have used an outdated section of federal law to sell fetal tissue to research institutions. This morally bankrupt practice further victimizes the defenseless and increases profits for Planned Parenthood.
Today, I introduced legislation to prohibit the sale of fetal tissue acquired by performing an abortion. It is an important step to protect the innocent.
