Dear Colleague:

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will soon consider a proposal to lift its ban on the use of the voice function on cell phones on domestic flights.  This has sparked fierce opposition from the flying public as well as many airline industry professionals, who have expressed deep safety concerns.

I invite you to join me in sending a letter to the Federal Aviation Administration urging that it maintain its ban on cell phone calls in flight regardless of whatever decision the FCC may make.

If you have any questions, or would like to sign the letter, please contact Brittany Hernandez atbrittany.hernandez@mail.house.gov or 225-3265 by Wednesday, December 11.

As always, I remain,

Most sincerely,

Steve Cohen

Member of Congress
