Job Corps 50th Anniversary Kick-off Reception
Location: B338-340 Rayburn House Office Building
Date: TODAY! Wednesday, April 2, 2014
Time: 5:30-7:00 p.m.

Dear Colleague,
On behalf of the Friends of Job Corps Caucus, we cordially invite you to attend the Job Corps 50th Anniversary Kick-off Reception on Wednesday, April 2, from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
Job Corps was created in 1964 as a residential career training and education program to serve our nation’s economically disadvantaged youth. Since opening the doors of its first center in 1965, it has grown to be the largest and most successful program of its kind, serving nearly 65,000 students a year in 125 centers in all 50 states. Millions of students have participated in and benefitted from its courses over the last half century. More than 80 percent of Job Corps graduates in recent years have found employment, continued their studies in higher education, or joined the military after completing the program.
Join us in celebrating the success of Job Corps by meeting with current students, staff, center operators, local constituents, supporters, and VIPs. For questions about Job Corps, contact Trish Jones at tjones@njcaweb.org. If you would like to join the Friends of Job Corps Caucus, please contact Sean Strebel in Congressman Jim Matheson’s office (5-3011, sean.strebel@mail.house.gov), or Jared Bass in Congressman Chaka Fattah’s office (5-4001, jared.bass@mail.house.gov).
Sincerely,

Jim Matheson Chaka Fattah
