Seeds for Spiritual Growth in Lent

Offered by Office of the Chaplain

Mondays, March 9, 23, 30

March 5, 2009

Dear Colleagues:

You and your staff are invited to join us for a Lenten Series entitled: Seeds for Spiritual Growth

<http://e-DearColleague.house.gov/DearColleague/Media/111/1st/file/Other Offices/Office of the

Chaplain/Lenten activities09large.pdf> . On three Mondays, (March 9, 23 and 30) at 12 Noon in HC-7, the Capitol, Dr. Robert Wicks, professor at Loyola College and Riding the Dragon author, and I will offer a program of spiritual reflection and practical application.

A reflection on the Lenten Gospel reading from the common lectionary will be offered and Dr. Wicks will apply that to life on the Hill, especially in times of stress. Lent is a good time for reflection.

We recognize the importance of time set apart for reflection, during Lent and during times of high stress.

We hope that you will alert your staff to this program so that they may attend.
